Description

With 4 double bedrooms, ample parking and dramatic design, this home is resolutely modern. This stunning house with lofty ceiling heights offers the promise of a more sustainable life and marries architectural merit and excellent design with energy efficiency, thanks to features such as triple glazing, a heat recovery system, air-tight insulation and underfloor heating throughout.

The generous entrance hall leads onto the wonderfully bright living space downstairs. This comprises a high spec kitchen which has a large island with breakfast bar and adjacent is the dining area and light filled sitting area. The kitchen also benefits from very large bi-parting doors opening onto the terrace and west facing lawned garden. This room is triple aspect with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pretty garden and terrace, giving a great feeling of space and light and immediate engagement with the outside. Leading off the kitchen is a separate utility room fully fitted with cupboards.

Next to the kitchen is the second reception room with a wall of glass doors which open out onto the garden and covered terrace, perfect for alfresco dining. This room faces west, allowing the room to be bathed in afternoon light.

At the front of the house is a double guest bedroom with en suite shower. This room, with bi-parting doors opening out onto the front terrace and bringing in lots of light, would also make a fantastic, quiet home office.

Upstairs is the principal bedroom with floor to ceiling west facing glass doors which open out onto a fabulous roof terrace. This bedroom has a stunning vaulted and sloping ceiling, echoing the drama of the overall design of the house. This room and the terrace catch the sun for most of the day. It has a separate walk-in dressing space with built in wardrobes and an en suite shower. The terrace reaches along the back of the house and adjoins bedroom 2 which also has sliding glass doors opening out onto the terrace overlooking the garden. Bedroom 3 faces east with beautiful views to the hills beyond.

Outside are 2 car parking spaces plus the infrastructure for an electric charging point. The front terrace is very large - the extension of the sedum roof extends across the front of the terrace and presents as an intriguing design feature. The garden which has been exceptionally well designed is laid to lawn and shrubs, and is walled with lovely honey coloured Doulting stone which reflects the sun all day.
