Description

A very are opportunity to acquire a building plot of the highest calibre, which in our opinion surpasses any other plots of land currently available in the region, due to the combination of the size of the land available, the quality of the properties to be constructed and the totally stunning position.

There are two adjacent plots, each with Planning Permission for a stunning detached house.

Plot A, has a "building area" of APROX 883sqn (0.22 acres) with nearby grazing land available.

Plot C is the larger of the two, and has the advantage of a larger "building area" at 1008sqm (0.25 acres), a directly adjacent paddock of 1449sqm (0.36 acres) and a separate paddock of 3947sqm (0.98 acres).

TRANQUIL - YET ACCESSIBLE
The plots are situated within the grounds of the historic Hesleden Hall within an exclusive development of two building plots and three barn conversions, each with planning permission for a single stylish dwelling in keeping with the "farmyard" feel and they form a large part of a superb complex including Hesleden hall itself, around the original courtyard, complete with well, and surrounded by open fields.

Hesleden Hall is a Grade 11 listed building. Originally the site is believed to have been the location of a small monastery, hence the name of the village, Mink Hesleden. In 1569, Elizabeth I granted Hesleden Hall to Robert Bowes as a reward for his services during the rebellion of the north. In 1572 it was then conveyed to Nicholas Tweddell, who's descendants continued ownership listed until 1759 when it was sold to Roland Burdon. It stayed with the Burdon family until the death of CM Burdon in 1920. This beautiful setting, located to the east of the Hamlet of Monk Hesleden, with access via a picturesque track from the village. Despite the idyllic rural setting, these barns are surprisingly accessible. The A19 can be reached within ten minutes and it is therefore well situated for access to all of the regions major centres.
