We asked the vendors about their beautiful home and the provided us with this personal insight.
What attracted you to the property when you bought it ?
Our parents live in the village. Have done for many years. When it came to buying a property, we knew how welcoming Five Oak Green were. There is a huge community here, with the school, nursery, bus links and general community life. We had always loved it. Then this property came up 10 years ago, we fell in love with the location as it’s at the end of a really quiet cul-de-sac with brilliant neighbours who we have come to really value. It is safe, friendly and a real sense of neighbourhood. It really is a great location, which we still really love.
What improvements have you made to the house ?
The house needed a total overhaul. We have replastered, renovated, painted. It’s had a new completely new bathroom and kitchen in the time we have been here. The kitchen has integrated washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, double oven and warming / proving drawer. We have had installed a log burner as well. We love this house and the work has been a great labour of love. But it is such a beautiful property now. Including a complete overhaul of the garden that when we moved in had 2 giant koi ponds in it!
What have you enjoyed about living there ?
The community, the quiet and peaceful road that we live in. Being part of a neighbourhood that is kind and caring. It really is a wonderful village, surrounded by beautiful countryside and amenities.
